PSYCHOTHERAPY

Individual therapy is where a person begins to talk about all the pain they have been through.  Individual therapy is where a person learns that they can say the absolute truth and receive support, caring and respect.  Individual therapy is where a person learns that it's both safe and healing to be vulnerable.

The first goal is to put together an in-depth history of a person's life.  this is how the therapist gets a better idea of those events where the negative self-talk and self-beliefs started.

The second goal is to focus on neutralizing and deconstructing the negative self-beliefs.   Once this step is completed, a person is ready to start working on their relationships with others, which is done in via group therapy.

Individual therapy helps a person begin to see themselves differently, and shows them where their thought processes and their way of making sense of things have stood in their way.
